Super8mm, color, sound. 27:37
This was the first film that Bryce shot in Super8, and it boasted a wild-track stereo soundtrack with music and dialogue. The running time, at approximately 28
minutes, was three times the length of any previous film. Bryce Malek appeared in a starring
role, necessitating the utilization of his brother, Robert Malek, for camerawork. The Golden Years was very successful and shown at many
gatherings. It remains one of Bryce's favorite and most embarrassing films, as it includes a romance, drama, a musical number and a dream sequence.
